About Us
We Built This Because Nobody Else Would
Menotonics was created for the woman who has done everything right.
She saw her GP. She pushed for a referral. She tried HRT, adjusted the dose, switched the delivery method, waited the recommended three months. She downloaded the apps, tracked her symptoms, took the magnesium and the ashwagandha and the evening primrose. She read the books. She joined the forums. She did everything the internet told her to do.
And she still couldn't find the word she was looking for mid-sentence.
Still walked into a room and forgot why she was there. Still sat in a meeting she'd run a hundred times before, feeling like she was watching herself from behind glass — present in body, absent in mind. Still typed and deleted the same email three times because the sentence wouldn't come together the way it used to.
The brain symptoms of menopause are the most disruptive, the most identity-threatening, and the most consistently ignored part of the conversation.
We decided to change that.
The Symptom Nobody Prepared You For
When women talk about menopause, the conversation almost always starts in the same place — hot flushes, night sweats, mood changes, sleep disruption. These are real. They matter. The medical community has made meaningful progress in addressing them.
But there is another symptom sitting quietly underneath all of it, one that doesn't flush your face or disrupt your sleep in ways that are easy to point to. It dismantles something far more precious.
It takes your sharpness.
The word that used to come instantly — gone. The name of a colleague you've worked with for six years — blank. The train of thought you were following one moment ago — vanished without a trace. The ability to hold complexity in your mind, to context-switch, to read a room, to lead a conversation with the authority and precision you've spent decades developing — suddenly unreliable.
This is not stress. This is not age. This is not you.
This is what oestrogen withdrawal does to a brain that depended on it — and it is happening to millions of women right now, in boardrooms and consulting rooms and kitchens and classrooms, with almost no targeted support available to them.
We called it Meno Meltdown. And we built the first formula designed specifically to address it at the source.
Why Existing Solutions Were Leaving Women Behind
We spent a long time looking at what was already on the market before we built anything.
What we found was a category largely built around the visible symptoms of menopause — the ones that are easy to photograph, easy to empathise with, easy to market against. The cognitive symptoms, the neural ones, the ones that live entirely inside a woman's own experience of her own mind — these were almost entirely absent from the formulation conversation.
The supplements that did gesture toward cognitive support were mostly general nootropic blends repurposed for a menopause audience. The same lion's mane and bacopa combinations you'd find in a student focus stack, dropped into pink packaging with "menopause" added to the label.
That is not a solution. That is a label change.
What was missing was a formula built from first principles around the specific neurological mechanisms that oestrogen decline disrupts. A formula that understood the difference between general cognitive support and targeted menopausal brain support. A formula that treated this woman — educated, experienced, biochemically specific in her needs — with the seriousness she deserved.
That formula did not exist. So we built it.
The Neural Retrofit™ Framework
The brain does not fail during menopause randomly. It fails in predictable, mappable, addressable ways — because oestrogen is not just a reproductive hormone. It is a primary regulator of neurological function. When it declines, five interconnected neural systems begin to falter simultaneously.
Mitochondrial Energy Production — Brain cells become less efficient at generating ATP. Cognitive energy drops. Mental fatigue arrives earlier and recovers more slowly.
Neurotransmitter Synthesis — Oestrogen supports the production and regulation of dopamine, serotonin, and acetylcholine. As it falls, so does the neurochemical architecture that underpins focus, motivation, mood, and memory formation.
Cerebral Blood Flow — Oestrogen plays a direct role in maintaining healthy vascular tone in the brain. Reduced blood flow means reduced oxygen and glucose delivery to the neurons that need them most.
Neuroinflammation — Oestrogen has potent anti-inflammatory effects on brain tissue. Its withdrawal can trigger a low-grade neuroinflammatory state that impairs synaptic transmission and accelerates cognitive fatigue.
Neuroprotection — Oestrogen supports BDNF production and neuroplasticity — the brain's ability to adapt, form new connections, and protect itself from long-term damage. This protective layer thins considerably with oestrogen decline.
Menotonics was formulated to work across all five systems simultaneously. Not to pick one mechanism and address it in isolation — but to support the full neural architecture that oestrogen used to maintain.
Nine ingredients. Five systems. One formula. Zero passengers.
Every compound in Menotonics was selected for a specific, mechanistic reason. Every dose was calibrated against clinical literature, not label aesthetics. If it is in the formula, it is doing a job. If it could not justify its place scientifically, it did not make the cut.
For the HRT Non-Responder
HRT has transformed outcomes for millions of women and we have enormous respect for the clinicians and advocates who fought to make it more accessible.
But it is not the complete answer for everyone — and the evidence tells us why.
For a significant proportion of women, HRT resolves the somatic symptoms of menopause — the flushes, the sleep disruption, the joint pain — while leaving the cognitive symptoms substantially unaddressed. The neural systems most involved in brain fog and cognitive decline appear, in many cases, to require more targeted support than systemic hormone replacement alone can provide.
We also know that many women cannot access HRT — whether due to medical contraindication, GP gatekeeping, personal preference, or simply the postcode lottery of NHS provision in the UK.
Menotonics was built for both groups. For the woman on HRT whose body has recovered but whose mind hasn't followed. And for the woman who is navigating this entirely without hormonal support and needs something that actually works at the level of her neurology.
This is not a replacement for medical care. It is the thing that comes after medical care has done what it can — and it is the thing that was missing.
Built for a Woman Who Knows the Difference
Our customer is not looking to be sold to. She has been sold to her entire adult life — by diet culture, by wellness marketing, by supplement brands that made enormous promises backed by proprietary blends and underdosed formulas hidden behind pixelated science graphics.
She can read a supplement facts panel. She knows what a clinical dose looks like. She asks what the research actually says, not what the landing page claims it says. She has been let down enough times that her default position is scepticism — and we think that is entirely reasonable.
So we made Menotonics legible.
Full label transparency. No proprietary blends. Every ingredient listed with its exact dose. Every dose referenced against published clinical research. Third-party tested by Labdoor for purity and potency accuracy. Clean Label Project certified. Vegetarian Society Vegan approved. Caffeine free.
What is on the label is what is in the capsule. Every single time.
This Is Your Retrofit
We chose the word deliberately.
Retrofit does not mean replace. It does not mean rebuild from scratch or start over or admit defeat. It means taking something that has served you well — a body, a mind, a life built with real skill and real effort over real decades — and upgrading the systems underneath it so it can perform at the level it was always capable of.
Your brain is not broken. It is under-supported.
The woman who built a career, raised a family, held things together when everything around her was shifting — she did not disappear during perimenopause. She got quieter. She got harder to hear underneath the fog and the fatigue and the quiet erosion of confidence that nobody tells you is coming.
Menotonics is not about becoming someone new. It is about returning to the woman you already were, with the neural infrastructure to back her up.
You do not need permission. You do not need a prescription. You do not need to wait for the medical system to catch up with what you are already living.
You just need the right support.
Welcome to your Neural Retrofit™.
